About the job
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the acquisition of new customers and upselling to existing customers in line with the Company’s Business Plan and annual budgets.

Position in the Organisation
The BDM reports directly to the Sales & Marketing Director.
The BDM has no subordinates.

Key Measures of Success in the Role
The Business Development Manager will be measured on 6 key performance criteria:
  • The current state of the new business pipeline (versus the Company Plan or annual budget).
  • The rate of conversion to installation from qualified leads.
  • The absolute number of Customer acquisitions (versus the Company Plan or annual budget).
  • The rate of upselling new products and services to existing clients.
  • The successful handover of ongoing customer relationships to the Company’s Business Consultants.

Main Areas of Responsibility
It is expected that the Business Development Manager will:
  • Assess the suitability of new business enquiries against the qualifying criteria set out in the Company Plan and annual budget.
  • Present the Company’s technologies and services to attractive new business enquiries and secure commitments to purchase from them in line with the Company Plan and annual budget.
  • Under the guidance of the S&M Director, develop and execute sales and marketing activities to improve conversion rates from enquiry to order.
  • Under the guidance of the S&M Director, generate area specific initiatives to build a pipeline for new business enquiries.
  • Under the guidance of the S&M Director, distributing existing and new product to existing clients of the Company.
  • Monitor and report back on the above.

We’re happy for you to work remotely, from home and travel to our office in Oakham as required.  The area covered will be Midlands and South, including Ireland and it is important that you consider the travel logistics before applying.

2nd Line Helpdesk Analyst

The Role
As a 2nd Line Helpdesk Analyst, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality support to our clients. You'll handle a mixture of inbound and outbound queries via email and telephone, helping legal professionals resolve technical issues related to our Microsoft .NET-based software platform.

You’ll be expected to take ownership of problems, assess and prioritise support tickets effectively, and ensure successful and timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2nd line support for client issues via phone and email
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, database, and basic infrastructure-related issues
  • Escalate more complex issues to the development teams where appropriate
  • Liaise with clients to clarify issues and guide them through resolutions
  • Prioritise workloads to meet SLAs and manage multiple open cases simultaneously
  • Log, track, and document issues and solutions in the helpdesk system and knowledge base

Key Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot software and environment issues
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage time effectively
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A client-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality support

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role (preferably in a software and professional services environment)
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server (queries, connectivity)
  • Familiarity with Windows desktop and server troubleshooting
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g. IP configuration, DNS, firewalls)
  • Exposure to software built on the Microsoft .NET stack
